Reach Arts And Swampscott To Open New Cultural Arts Center
The former senior center on Burrill Street will open as a new cultural arts center.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – The conversion of the former senior center on Burrill Street to a new cultural arts center is underway. Swampscott Town officials and volunteers from Reach Arts will be celebrating this momentous event with a ribbon cutting at 89 Burrill St. The event will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 2:30 p.m. – Swampscott community members and local artists are invited to join.
Reach Arts, a non-profit arts umbrella, recently signed a lease with the Town to transform the vacant building into a center for arts education and performance, as well as community function space. The new center will provide a home for the arts community in Swampscott.
The project is a partnership between the Town and Reach Arts, a virtual, four-year-old network of artists and volunteers with a mission to build an artistic community in Swampscott. The partnership and conversion of the old building is the first step in building and expanded arts within Swampscott.
