Suzanne T. Mogel: Local Artist, Avid Gardener, Fantastic Cook
The funeral will be private, but a memorial service will be scheduled in the spring.

Suzanne T. Mogel died on Thursday, Feb. 26. She was 89 years old.
According to her obituary, the Swampscott resident was a noted painter of landscapes, gardens and still lifes primarily of the North Shore, but also from a well-known artists’ retreat on Monhegan Island in Maine.
Mogel was an accomplished cook and gardener who could often be seen tending her garden in front of her Swampscott home.

In 1981, Mogel captured first place in painting at the Marblehead Festival of Arts for her painting “Eve’s Harvest.” She was a longtime member of a variety of artist’s groups and won awards throughout the area. Her works are part of collections around the world.
Mogel’s funeral services will be private. A public memorial will be scheduled in the spring.
