WHAT: Swampscott Arts Association will be having their annual summer show and reception party at Grosvenor Park Gallery in Swampscott, MA on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Association represents 89 artists from mostly Swampscott, but extending to Marblehead, Lynn, Salem, Peabody, and Danvers. The Association is now an active part of the newly formed Reach Arts an umbrella organization which fosters all of the arts community.

This years’ exhibit will feature paintings and photography with prizes in both categories. The judge for the show will be Clayton Curtis, who is a renowned North Shore artist.
The featured artist is a Board Member, Marge Snow, who began painting just 8 years ago. Her subject matter of choice is flowers and landscapes as well as taking request from family and friends! She has received much of her training informally from other SAA members and through Marty Riskin, who is a legendary Cartoonist and artist, at the Marblehead Senior Center.
The exhibit will be at “The Gallery at Grosvenor Park” until July 23, 2015.

About Swampscott Arts Association
The Swampscott Arts Association(SAA) began in the 1940’s when a group of well-known professional artists came together at the Swampscott Public Library to meet and create exhibits. The Association now offers 4 non-juried art exhibits a year as well as art demonstrations and workshops. Prizes and ribbons are awarded for each show by professional artists. Membership is open to all local artists and photographers
