Swampscott/Lynn 2017 Fireworks Schedule

Here's what you need to know about Swampscott and Lynn's fireworks this year.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – The Swampscott/Lynn fireworks will be held on Monday, July 3, a day before the Fourth of July.

The City of Lynn and the Town of Swampscott will jointly host the fireworks display, which will be set off of a barge by the Lynn Shore Drive and Humphrey Street area around 9 p.m.

The fireworks are expected to be done by 10 p.m., according to a press release, and the roads will reopen at 10:30 p.m. Lynn Shore Drive will be closed until police determine that pedestrian traffic has cleared enough.

Anyone parking on Lynn Shore Drive should expect to wait until around 11 p.m. for the road to reopen to traffic. In Swampscott, Humphrey Street will be detoured at Redington Street going toward Lynn, starting at 6:30 p.m., up Redington Street to Banks Road, and to Route 1A Paradise Road.

Lynn, Swampscott, Mass. State Police, and the Mass. Department of Conservation and Recreation have been coordinating and planning for the event.

According to a post on the town website, donations are needed to put the fireworks on. Donations can be dropped off at Swampscott Town Hall.
