Smoldering Mulch Extinguished on Paradise Road

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police Department's log: 

Sunday, May 4: 

  • At 12:26 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Essex Street.
  • At 12:33 a.m., police responded to a barking dog complaint on Glen Road.
  • At 12:55 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at C&L Package Store on New Ocean Street.
  • At 1:10 a.m., an employee at the Uno Chicago Grill on Paradise Road called police to report that a possibly drunk customer had just left in a black Mercedes. Units checked the area.
  • At 12:21 p.m., police and fire units responded to a report of smoking mulch on Paradise Road. 
  • At 12:35 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Paradise Road.
  • At 1:16 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Atlantic and Bradlee avenues.
  • At 4:07 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Paradise Road.
  • At 4:42 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Gale Road.
  • At 7:48 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Paradise Road.
  • At 8:16 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Vantage Terrace.
