Swampscott Police Searching For Coat Thief

Swampscott Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who stole several hundred dollars worth of North Face jackets.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA -Swampscott Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who stole several hundred dollars worth of North Face jackets, according to the Salem News.

On Tuesday, Swampscott Police released an image of a man suspected of shoplifted high-end coats from the Marshalls on Paradise Road on Christmas Eve. According to police, the man came back Tuesday to try again.

The first incident occurred on Sunday, Dec. 24, at 10:30 a.m., and the other on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 10 a.m. Both thefts involved North Face coats, with the outwear worth more than $250 both times, crimes which are considered felonies under state law. It was not clear how many coats the man tried to take.
