Outages are beginning to mount in the North Shore.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott was among the hardest-hit North Shore towns in Tuesday morning's nor'easter, with 15 percent of homes losing power by 9:30 a.m. That was about 936 National Grid customers.

The North Shore is seeing outages mount, with Saugus getting the worst of it so far. Half of the town's 12,000 homes were without power. Boxford and Beverly were beginning to see significant outages as well.
