Swampscott Schools Work Though Remote Video Frustrations
Swampscott Schools said they are working to make sure videos play on school-issued iPads more easily during remote learning.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Remote learning in Swampscott Schools — as is the case in most towns this fall due to the coronavirus crisis — has not come without its technology hiccups.
Swampscott Schools acknowledged Monday that some students were having trouble watching videos on school-issued iPads.
"Our district moved to a 1:1 device program nearly overnight," Swampscott Schools posted on its social media account. "A huge accomplishment, but we realize it has not been without some glitches, which are causing some frustration."

Swampscott also has a Tech Ninja Help Desk staffed during classes that can be reached at techhelp@swampscott.k12.ma.us for issues with devices. The students on the help desk will arrange to look at the device or trouble shoot with a phone call.
