Swampscott Sox Fall to the Kingston Night Owls
11 innings into the 7th game, Kingston wins the Championship.
SWAMPSCOTT— The Kingston Night Owls have won the North Shore Baseball League Championship (NSBL). It took 11 innings in the 7th game, and both teams tied 3-3 in the series.
The Night Owls scored a run during the 11th to win 7-6. Paul Satori led the team to their third NSBL Championship with the win over the Sox. The score was tied 6-6 from the bottom of the sixth on. Jake White scored the winning it during the top of the 11th. The Night owls were in second place (17-7) for the regular season, with the Swampscott Sox leading (18-6).
Coach Joe Caponigro posted on Facebook, "Congrats to Paul Sartori and his Kingston club. You guys played a heck of a series and it was only fitting that this game 7 should go 11 innings. You have a very talented group and I wish all of your current college players continued success in their fall and spring sesons. I hope to see you all next year for another fantastic NSBL season. God Bless you all."
