Swampscott Town Election Voter Registration Deadline Wednesday

Residents must register by Wednesday at 8 p.m. to vote in the April 27 town election.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA —Swampscott residents looking to vote in the April 27 town election have until Wednesday night to make sure they are registered.

Residents can register by mail, online or in person. For those registering in person the town clerk's office will be open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Residents must be at least 18 years old on election day, a citizen of the United States, not currently incarcerated for a felony. Residents may pre-register to vote at 16 years old with their registration processed when they turn 18.

Those registering online must have a signature online at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. They can then register to vote or change party affiliation here by midnight Wednesday night.

Those registering by mail can do so here. Those registering by mail must have the form postmarked no later than Wednesday.

Voters are reminded that they must update voter registration with each move — even within the town.
