Swampscott Whole Foods Wants Liquor License For Sip, Shop Program
Selectmen will consider the grocer's application that would let customers drink beer and wine as they shopped at the Swampscott store.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Whole Foods is looking to add its Sip & Shop promotion to its Swampscott location. Representatives from the high-end, Amazon-owned grocer will go before selectmen Wednesday as the board considers an application to serve wine and malt beverages., as well as an application for a 7,500 addition for the pouring stations.
According to the Daily Item, which first reported this story, the grocer would only sell beverages by the glass for on-site consumption. Whole Foods has implemented the program at stores across the country over the past 10 years.
