Swampscott's First Cannabis Shop Waits For State Approval
Swampscott officials signed a host community agreement with Terpene Journey LLC, which now needs state approval to open.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott's first retail cannabis store could open as early as the first quarter of 2021.
Swampscott officials gave final approval to Terpene Journey LLC's plan to open a store at 430 Paradise Road by signing a host community agreement with the company. Terpene Journey now needs final approval from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
"It’s impossible to know exactly how long the whole process will take, but we’re targeting to open in the first quarter of 2021," co-owner Tom Bogacz told the Swampscott Reporter, which first reported this story. "We’ve heard from others that lately the CCC has been processing applications pretty quickly, so we’re optimistic that momentum will help get us to the goal line."
