Alleged Shoplifter Arrested on Paradise Road

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police Department's log: 

Thursday, April 24:

  • At 1:20 a.m., police conducted a building check on Atlantic Avenue.
  • At 5:58 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Vantage Terrace.
  • At 7:07 a.m., a woman called police to report a dog growling at her while she walked to the train. The dog was described as a medium-sized brown and black mutt.
  • At 9:00 a.m., police received numerous calls regarding a missing manhole cover in the middle of the street on Humphrey Street.
  • At 9:33 a.m., police responded to a report of a tree down across the street near the intersection of Millett and Oak roads.
  • At 10:09 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Paradise Road.
  • At 11:23 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Worcester Avenue.
  • At 11:43 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Commonwealth Avenue.
  • At 12:59 p.m., police responded to a report of a missing prescription on Ocean View Road.
  • At 2:10 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Paradise Road. Courtney Feeley, 25, of 1000 Loring Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting merchandise by asportation.
  • At 2:16 p.m., a Shelton Road resident called police to report that a large trailer was parked in front of her house
  • At 3:21 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Humphrey Street.
  • At 6:09 p.m., police responded to a Paradise Road.
  • At 8:27 p.m., police responded to a report of kids on the roof of The Paper Store on Paradise Road.
  • At 8:53 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lynnfield Street.
  • At 9:07 p.m., police responded to a break-in in progress on Aycliffe Road. Responding officers found that it was a mistake by an elderly caller who saw a "article behind a door."

Friday, April 25:

  • At 3:47 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Paradise Road.
