The First Church Presents The Vermillion Strings
The second concert in the 2015-16 Soli Deo Gloria Concert Series will be held January 24 at 3:00 pm.

Performing on Sunday, January 24, at 3:00 pm, the concert will feature “Vermillion Strings”. This string trio includes three prominent North Shore musicians, Ashley Offret, violinist, David Cabral, violist, and Marshunda Smith, cellist. The trio will present the Mozart “Divertimento for String Trio in E-Flat Major, K. 563” and the Dvorak “Terzetto in C Major, Op. 74”. In addition, they will collaborate with First Church organist, Patricia Clark, in performing the Dupre “Quartet for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Organ, Op. 52”.
The Soli Deo Gloria Concert Series was inaugurated in 2014 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the First Church Noack organ, Opus 145 and to highlight the First Church sanctuary’s exceptional acoustics. The final concert of this year’s season will feature the New Hampshire choral group, Cappella Nova Mundi on Sunday, April 3, at 3:00 pm.
The concert is free and open to the public, and free-will offerings will be accepted. Child care will also be provided. The First Church in Swampscott, Congregational, is located at 40 Monument Avenue in Swampscott. For more information call 781 592-6081 or learn more here.
