Veterans Day 2019: What's Open, Closed In Swampscott

Here's what's open and closed on Veterans Day, which is being observed this year on Monday, Nov. 11.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military. U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) will be holding his annual Veterans Day Town Hall at Peabody City Hall at 24 Lowell Street in Peabody at 6 p.m.

"One of the most important things I’ve done as a member of Congress is convene our community to discuss veterans, their stories, and the policies that impact the community," Moulton said.

There is a Veterans Day breakfast at the Swampscott Senior Center at 200 Essex Street at 9:30 a.m. Monday. RSVP by calling 781-596-8866. At 11 a.m., there will be a Veterans Day ceremony on Monument Avenue.
