1 Lucky Nonprofit In Tewksbury To Receive $10K
Local group, 100 People Who Care Tewksbury, will award $10,000 to one of three nonprofits serving the town and nearby area June 24.
TEWKSBURY, MA — The local group, 100 People Who Care Tewksbury, will make its inaugural impact award of $10,000 to one of three nonprofits serving the town and nearby surrounding area on June 24.
“100 People Who Care Tewksbury is honored to support these impressive organizations and help further their missions,” said giving manager and nonprofit liaison, Beth McFadyen. “Besides receiving a minimum of $250, these groups will have an opportunity to recruit future donors and volunteers; expand their reach to the communities they serve; and create new partnerships and alliances with other nonprofits, donors, community organizations and businesses.”
Local practice Tewksbury Dental Associates is the group’s first sponsor and will be on hand to present a check directly to one nonprofit, the group confirmed. One additional $250 sponsorship is available for the June event.

“Alternative House is so grateful to be given the opportunity to participate in this event and to share with the Tewksbury community the very important work we do in providing services to survivors of domestic abuse,” said executive director Kathy Kelly. “The work we do is not possible without the support of those living in our communities. If selected, funds will help us furnish and equip our newly built shelter.”
Hidden Battles Foundation: The organization strives to help preserve the healthy minds of military members and veterans and law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch and nursing professionals through activity-driven treatment and counseling for depression, suicidal tendencies and PTSD.
"What an honor it is to be recognised for this amazing award, not only by those who nominated Hidden Battles Foundation, but by your committee as well,” said Scott Hyder, president and founder. “If chosen as the recipient of the funding, Hidden Battles Foundation would fund community-driven programs directly related to mental health issues with front-line workers directly related to the Covid 19 pandemic."
Into Action Recovery: The nonprofit offers long-term, residential care based on the 12 Step Model to people struggling with addiction.
"In 2018, we were able to open a men’s program in Tewksbury, named Fox Run Sober Living,” said Alex Dugas, program director. “Now we are working to raise funds to open a program for women. We've enjoyed tremendous support from the community and are excited to share our story with 100 People Who Care Tewksbury on June 24. If we are selected, we would use the money to scholarship men through our program until they can get on their feet. I want to thank the six members who nominated us, as well as TJ Callahan's for hosting the event."
These three groups were selected at random from 20 nominees put forward by 43 of its members, with many organizations receiving multiple nominations.

All members are invited to attend the June 24 hybrid event in person or via Zoom.
“100 People Tewksbury thanks T.J. Callahan’s for hosting its first meetup,” said Giving Event Manager Krissy Polimeno. “Future venues include Wamesit for our September meeting and Tewksbury Country Club for our December event.”
