Abandoned Pool Mosquito Treatment Available In Tewksbury

The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project offers free mosquito treatment.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Free mosquito treatment is available for abandoned swimming pools, the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project said in a memo recently shared by the town of Tewksbury.

The treatments are available at no cost to the town or resident. Pools can later be used if the resident wants them to be.

Only one treatment per year is needed to reduce the hatch of all mosquito species, some of which carry disease. Abandoned pools can quickly become a good habitat for larval mosquitos.
