Accident Shuts Down Portion of Maple Street

TEWKSBURY, MA - Maple Street between Ballard Street and East Street is closed due to a car that struck a pole.

The accident happened just before 6 p.m. Monday night when the vehicle struck a telephone pole, which is now leaning across the road.

It is unknown if there are any injuries.

Cold temperatures and the snow that continues to fall in the area are making for dangerous driving conditions Monday night.
