The weather held out and we had an incredible turnout for cleanup day! We’d like to thank:
All of the volunteers from the Beautification Committee and Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee who worked to help residents with supplies and logistics and got the word out!

The Town Manager’s office and the DPW for providing support for this event including staff, the dumpster, cones and some unexpected forklift help!

165 resident volunteers who cared enough to collect over 200 bags of trash off of our roads and open spaces, including tires, dumped ceiling tiles, nips, more nips, Styrofoam, traffic cones, furniture and a bumper. We had church groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, neighbors, families, friends and welcomed many new residents to the effort!
The International Club from TMHS, Sr. Dudley, Bruce Shick and Dan Ronan who removed a truckload of siding, at least 15 pallets, concrete chunks, giant pet kennels and a dryer along with bags and bags of other trash on the Pinnacle Trails including metal, giant fence posts, pressure treated lumber and any number of other construction debris items. Two trucks, umpteen trips, and those trails are ready to go!
The 109 residents who brought documents to shred and electronics to recycle: we thank you for disposing of these items responsibly.
And thanks to everyone’s generosity, the Tewksbury Community Pantry collected just shy of $500 in cash, checks and gift cards, and at least four giant pallets full of food; they were blown away at the generosity of our residents!
Thank you all for your efforts to keep Tewksbury Clean and Green!
