Barbara A. (Devine) Proulx, 81, Longtime Tewksbury Resident

TEWKSBURY, MA - Barbara A. (Devine) Proulx, age 81, a longtime resident of Tewksbury and Lowell, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Born in Chelmsford on March 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John M. Devine and Gladys I. (Cooke) Devine.

Barbara was pre-deceased by five brothers and four sisters.

A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by eight children, Joan Gendron and her husband Frank of Lowell, Dee Spanos of Dracut, Cynthia Proulx of Hudson, NH, Joanne Shaughnessy and her husband James of Lowell, Mark Proulx and his companion Karen Tausevich of Barnstead, NH, Brian Proulx and his wife Marjorie of Haverhill, Barbara Petersen of Lowell, and Richard Proulx and his wife Demetra of Lowell; also fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside prayer service on Thursday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East St., Tewksbury.
