Billerica's Newest Officer Takes A Bite Out Of Crime

A bloodhound named Cabot is the department's newest K-9 officer.

BILLERICA -- Billerica Police Department's newest recruit takes a bite out of crime, according to The Lowell Sun.
Cabot, a 7-month- old bloodhound, arrived from Kentucky about a month ago.

Cabot, the department's newest K-9 officer, replaces Wizard, a bloodhound that died at the end of 2016 after complications from bloat.

She was named after her benefactor, Cabot Corporation in Billerica, which donated money to the Billerica K9 program.
