Daniel McCrevan Named Shawsheen Senior of the Month

The Tewksbury resident, along with Billerica's Shaelyn Ahern was recently honored as April's Seniors of the Month at Shawsheen Valley Tech.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Daniel McCrevan of Tewksbury and Shaelyn Ahern of Billerica were recently honored as April’s Seniors of the Month at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School.

An internet technology student, McCrevan is hoping to make a career out of the field. He has aspirations to earn a Master’s degree in computer science.

He’ll enter college with an impressive resume that includes four years on the high honor roll, a spot in the National Honor Society and work at IBM through Shawsheen’s cooperative education program.

His success academically has earned him Citizenships Awards and a John and Abigail Adams Scholarship.

Outside of the classroom, McCrevan has been a four-year member of the Ram’s baseball team and has also played basketball. Additionally, he volunteers his time at the St. William Church in Tewksbury.

McCrevan would love to try playing college baseball.

In his spare time, McCrevan enjoys personal software development and fishing.

Ahern is studying medical laboratory and assisting at Shawsheen and hopes to make a career out of the subject she learned in school.

She wants to eventually become a nurse practitioner.

Ahern is a well-rounded member of the student body with interests in many different facets of student life offered at Shawsheen.

She is an orientation leader at the school and was a four-year cheerleader for the Ram’s hockey team, the final two seasons as a captain. Ahern is also active in SkillsUSA, winning medals at both the state and district level.

Taking advantage of the opportunities offered through Shawsheen’s cooperative education program, Ahern has worked at Insight Optical in Burlington.

Academically, Ahern is just as busy and successful.

She’s been on the high honor roll since her freshman year, a National Honor Society member and earned a John and Abigail Adams Scholarship.

Outside of school, Ahern has volunteered at both Billerica Crossings, a senior living facility and the Winnmere Family Theater in Burlington.

She also enjoys reading, writing, acting and singing.
