Elizabeth A. Bette Laferriere, 86, Lifelong Tewksbury Resident
Bettè attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1947.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Elizabeth A. Bettè (Doucette) Laferriere, age 86, passed away at the Pine Hill Assisted Living in Windham, NH on Monday, March 14, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of Roderick C. Laferriere, who passed away on January 14, 1990.

Born in Lowell on May 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Doucette and the late Alphonsine (Langlois) Doucette.
Bettè attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1947. Following high school, she attended Burdette Business School in Lowell.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for W.S.I. in Bedford and Billerica, and previously worked for the Lowell Electric Light Company. In addition, Bettè was a member of the Lowell Electric Light Girls Club.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. William’s Church, and was a member of the first confirmation class of the Parish.
Bettè enjoyed knitting, traveling, gardening, and wreath making.
She is survived by four sons, Roderick C. Laferriere and his wife Cynthia of Windham, NH, Robert “Paul” Laferriere and his wife Donna of Dracut, Scott E. Laferriere and his wife Maryanne, and Wayne S. Laferriere and his wife Sheila all of Tewksbury; nine grandchildren, Rod, Nicole, Robbie, Christina, Kerry and Samantha Laferriere, Jennifer Taylor, Sierra and Lawrel Brown; her son-in-law, Robert Brown of Atkinson, NH; also many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Bettè was the mother of the late Marguerite L. “Margo” Brown and sister of the late Pauline Gordon, Louise Harmon, Amy, Charles, Jean, Walter and Robert Doucette.
Friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 19, at 11:30 a.m. St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery will be at a later date. At her request there are No Calling Hours.
