EZ Bakes By Eliza Is Baking Up a Second Career

DRACUT, MA -- Eliza McDowell is enjoying the sweet taste of success one cupcake at a time.

EZ Bakes By Eliza began as a labor of love to her full-time job with Booster, a Newton-based company that helps nonprofits fundraise by creating custom T-shirts for sale, the Boston Heraldreports.

McDowell was always the one who passed out her homemade goodies to her co-workers. But now she’s pursuing her passion - a second career in homemade baked goods.

McDowell doesn't have any formal culinary arts training, but she told the Herald she created EZ Bakes By Eliza by watching YouTube videos and following successful Instagram accounts, eating up their tips, which was the frosting on the cake, or cupcake.

EZ Bakes by Eliza offers everything from chocolate-covered Oreos to cake ball bites, to a signature three-layer vanilla cake covered in pineapple-buttercream frosting and capped with an actual halved pineapple top.
