'I Love Being A Mom And A Mimi': Mother's Day Photos
Help us celebrate Mother's Day 2018 by sending in your mother-daughter/son lookalike photo.

TEWKSBURY, MA—Whether it's through his or her personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, a daughter or son becomes a reflection of the woman who raised that child. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Massachusetts to share their "mother-daughter" or "mother-son" lookalike photos.
It doesn't matter how old the kids are; they'll always be your babies!
Barbara Casparius, owner of TDR, and son Matt Casparius, have shared in volunteering in the Boston Marathon medical station for years. Matt has volunteered for 15 years and Barbara for six. The photo is taken at the 2013 Marathon. Barbara, who shared this photo with Patch, has lived in Tewksbury since 1987.

Following 9/11, Matt was looking for some way to help, and became active in Disaster Relief with the Red Cross. He spent 10 years on the Disaster Team responding to fires and other disasters in the Boston and Metro West areas and has been volunteering at the Boston Marathon for the last 15 years, 12 of them as a Team Leader. I followed in his footsteps in 2009, joining the Disaster Team in Greater Lowell for a few years, becoming a member of the Upper Merrimack Valley Medical Reserve Corp and starting my own CPR business, Training Done Right. I have been volunteering at the Boston Marathon since 2013. Since then, it has become even more of a family affair with my sister, Linda, my cousins Kathy and Bonnie, and Bonnie's husband Bill, all First Aid volunteers for the Marathon.
I love being a mom and a Mimi and try to always be available for babysitting, rides, camping trips or being in the audience for school concerts. My husband Joe and I have been married 45 years and have been blessed with three children and five grandchildren. We are fortunate that everyone lives within a half hour of us and we try to get together at least once a month to share a meal and celebrate milestones in our hectic lives.
It's your turn, Patch readers — what traits do you and your mom share? Submit your lookalike photos by sending them to charlene.arsenault@patch.com. Be sure to include a nice message for your loved one, as well as the city/location of the photo and the date it was taken.
