Irene C. (Perry) Lauzon, 87, of Tewksbury

A very devote family woman, Irene spent many years caring for her mother, while raising her children. Services are Friday and Saturday.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Mrs. Irene C. (Perry) Lauzon, 87, passed away Tuesday March 8 at the Lowell General Hospital.

She was born March 9, 1928 in Lynn, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Frederick and Laura (Kerivan) Perry. Loving wife of 57 years to the late George H. Lauzon who passed in 2003.

Educated through the Lynn schools, Irene was a graduate of Lynn- English High School, class of 1945. Irene traveled extensively with her husband George whom she married in 1946 while he served his country in the United States Navy.

A very devote family woman, Irene spent many years caring for her mother, while raising her children. She got great joy being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. But the last ten years were difficult ones, while she fought hard against her dementia.

Her most memorable and fond memories were the ones spent at Lake Attitash in Amesbury, Ma.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Diane Castellana and her husband Angelo of Jupiter, FL., Kathleen Arsenault and her husband Alfred of Chelmsford, Lillian Tucceri and her husband Robert of Tewksbury; her nine grandchildren, Daniel, Elizabeth, and George Arsenault, Debra Lubis, Robert and Kenneth Tucceri, Laura Butler, Donna Susser, and Terri Brown; she also leaves nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Irene was pre-deceased by her siblings, Leonard Perry, Marion Pigott, Evelyn Wescott, and Muriel Grasso.

Visiting hours Friday, March 11 from 4-7 p.m. at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St. and 975 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury Center. Her funeral will begin Saturday, March 12 from the funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. William’s Church 1351 Main S.t (Rte. 38) Tewksbury at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Tewksbury Cemetery.
