Joanne L. (Vinal) Cordeiro, 72, Formerly of Tewksbury
Joanne was born in Everett, and raised in Everett and Tewksbury.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Joanne L. (Vinal) Cordeiro, age 72, died unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, April 28, in her Chelmsford home, from natural causes. She was the daughter of Lena (Parrella) Vinal of Dracut, and the late Russell Vinal.
Joanne was born in Everett, and raised in Everett and Tewksbury. She graduated from the Lowell Trade School and in her early career worked as a hairdresser. While raising her family in Dracut, she changed careers to the electronics industry and worked for several area manufacturing companies before her retirement.

While raising her children in Dracut, she was active in Community Teamwork, and as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She opened her home and heart to "many" in need and was selfless. After her children had grown she moved to Chelmsford. In her recent years, she was well known in the greater Lowell Bingo circles, and was remembered as having devoted her last few years to the care and nurturing of her beloved granddaughter, Kiley Cordeiro.
Besides her mother and granddaughter, she leaves her children, Daniel G. Cordeiro III and his wife Kimberly (Kinsley) Cordeiro, Devin J. Cordeiro and his significant other, Tracy Nolan, and Dawn M. Padula and her husband Richard all of Dracut; She also is survived by John Russell of Pelham N.H. who she helped raise like one of her own; a brother, Gerald Vinal and his wife Denise of Wilmington, a sister, Barbara Brooks and her husband Robert of Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her beloved sister, Gail Rice, of Dracut, on March 26

Visiting hours Tuesday, May 3, from 4-7 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St. and 975 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury Center. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 4, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
