LETTER: Wentworth Has His Vote For Selectman
Reader says that Wentworth has inspired him with his vision.

To the Editor:
A few times in my life, I have become inspired by a person whose vision, hard work, and unselfish motives are directed towards the greater good of their community. Jim Wentworth is definitely one of those individuals.
In the last two years, I have had the privilege to get to know Jim personally and during this period have witnessed his passion and commitment for a better Tewksbury. His energy, enthusiasm, and unyielding positive nature are always present when he discusses his ideas to improve Tewksbury. Unlike most, Jim does more than just speak of his ideas; he puts in the required hard efforts needed to bring them to a reality. A case in point is Jim not only supported the” idea” of the new high school, he was part of a community outreach team that partnered with the new high school building committee to drive this crucial community need into reality. Jim truly “believes in Tewksbury” and I believe in Jim to deliver on his vision.

Jim has shared his plans for stimulating commercial tax revenue to help lessen the increasing burden on Tewksbury’s residences. He believes Tewksbury can attract new business into the unfortunately growing commercial building vacancies, and encourage other commercial zones to be developed. Tewksbury is far behind its’ surrounding towns on this important revenue base and as a result our residential property taxes are reflecting this deficiency. Jim, who is a longstanding business owner, brings both credibility and experience to this vital town mission.
Jim also believes in nurturing the Tewksbury’s community spirit. He will encourage, support, and propose community events that afford the important opportunity for the residents of Tewksbury to connect and enjoy living in this great town. He will work with, established organizations, churches, and community groups to address common space maintenance issues and find ways to fully utilize these spaces. Jim believes in Tewksbury and that it should become more than just your city’s address, but is a place to truly enjoy life.
