Long Snowstorm To Hit Tewksbury: Timing, Snow Totals
A snowstorm will arrive Thursday afternoon, and higher snow totals will be seen closer to the Atlantic Ocean, according to forecasts.
TEWKSBURY, MA — A long-duration snow event will move into this region Thursday afternoon, potentially leaving up to 8 inches of snow in the Tewksbury area.
You may see flurries earlier, but the real snow won't begin until after 2 p.m, the National Weather Service predicted. The snow will fall through Friday evening, according to the forecast.
In a change from other recent snow events, this storm will bring more snow to areas closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Almost the entire state west of the I-495 may pick up between 4 and 6 inches — except for the Quabbin Reservoir area, which may only see 3 to 4 inches.
