Man Arrested for Drug Distribution with Children in Car

TEWKSBURY, MA - A Lowell man was arrested earlier this week on drug distribution charges with his two children in the car.
Tewksbury Police say on Monday, May 16 they arrested Fred Boisvert, 35, of 226 Appleton Street, Apt #2, Lowell, MA for distribution of amphetamine/ dextroamphetamine (Adderall), possession with intent to distribute amphetamine/ dextroamphetamine (Adderall) and possession with the intent to distribute clonazepam.

Detectives observed a transaction on Andover Street and conducted an inquiry. Their investigation revealed that Boisvert not only sold pills to another person, but that he possessed additional pills. Inside the vehicle during the transaction were two of Boisvert’s children, ages 4 and 12.
The Department of Children and Families were notified. Boisvert was placed into custody, while the children were placed with family members until DCF can conduct an investigation.

Boisvert was arraigned on May 17 in Lowell District Court.
