Police Warn of Men Claiming To Be Town Workers Fixing Wiring

A group of men are claiming to be town workers who fix wiring, according to Tewksbury police. A resident reported encountering the men on Wednesday as she was walking her dog. The women reported that the three men had also circled her house and asked about security cameras. Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is asked to contact authorities.

Malden Man Wins $2M Lottery Prize

Malden resident Anthony Abbuah, winner of the $2 million prize, opted for the lump sum which comes to around a $1.3 million. He's says he'll use the money to help his kids pay off student loans. The store where Abbuah purchased the ticket will also receive a $20,000 bonus.

North Shore Woman Sews Presidential Quilt

Brooksby Village resident Flo Perkins has finished her latest project- a quilt featuring every U.S. president. The quilt, which also has the U.S. Capitol, the American flag, the U.S. seal, and the White House, will be on display for the remainder of February at Brooksby Village.

Double-Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty, Held Without Bail

A 45-year-old man was arrested early this week in connection with a grisly double murder at a Farm Avenue home in Peabody. According to Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett and Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin, one suspect remains at large.

Milford Police Sergeant Retires With Unique Radio Sendoff

For his final shift, the Milford Police Department sent Sgt. Peter Rizoli, badge 557, off with a transmission over the department's radio. You can listen to the full radio message here. Rizoli had been with the police force for 39 years.
