Navy Seal Visits House of Representatives as Guest of Rep. Miceli
USN Senior Chief Tom Shea represented iPods for Wounded Veterans at a recent appearance.

Members of the House of Representatives received a visit recently as USN Senior Chief Tom Shea received an honorary citation as a guest of Rep. Jim Miceli while representing Wilmington-based iPods for Wounded Veterans.
Shea, a highly decorated United States Navy Seal, recently released a book called Unbreakable: A Navy Seal’s Way of Life.
“Senior Chief Shea’s visit was one of the most well-received honorees I have seen thus far,” said Representative Miceli, who said the House of Reprensetatives broke into applause after the presnetation. “He exemplifies the best of our entire country with his dedication and determination towards everything he does. I look forward to seeing his continued success, and thank him for helping promote the wonderful iPods for Wounded Veterans charity.”

iPods for Wounded Veterans was established in 2011 and has continued to grow each year since. The charity provides wounded veterans with iPods, iPads, eReaders and other devices so they can communicate with their family and entertain themselves as they recover.
Shea will be in Wilmington on November 6 to appear on WCTV as a guest of Paul Cardello from 6:45-7:45 p.m. Cardello is the chairman of iPods for Wounded Veterans.

Then on November 7, Shea will make a presentation to Wilmington High School seniors on leadership, dedication and accomplishment.
“It was a tremendous honor to meet Senior Chief Shea and to hear first-hand his tales and knowledge on how to lead men during times of crisis,” said Cardello. “Even more interestingly was hearing about his transition into the business world, where he continues to dedicate himself to improving his country.”
