On November 16, 2020, the Town’s contractor, MDR Construction will complete the final abandonment of the old water main on Main Street between Colonial Drive and Victor Drive. This work will require a temporary shutdown of the Main Street water main in order to safely disconnect the old water main. Interruptions of water service will occur during this temporary shutdown. Water service may be off from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Although we anticipate the water service interruption will be closer to 8:00AM to 3:00PM.
Please note that issues were encountered closing the water valves on November 13, 2020. The planned shutdown on November 13, 2020 did not occur as a result of these water valve issues. These issues have since been resolved and we anticipate that the work will still be completed on Monday, November 16, 2020 as originally planned.
