OBITUARY: Donna A. DeMarco, 61, of Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY, MA - Ms. Donna Ann DeMarco, age 61, died peacefully on Friday morning, October 7, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a month long battle for her life.

She was born in Boston in April 1955, the daughter of the late James A. and Joan (Rivard) DeMarco, but had been a lifelong resident of Tewksbury. She was a member of Tewksbury Memorial High School’s Class of 1973.

Donna worked as a secretary in the administration at Tewksbury Hospital for many years before transferring to the Town of Tewksbury’s Water Department, where she worked as a clerk. She was well known as a function waitress for Catering by Therese, the house caterer at the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge for many years.

She leaves her nieces, Deborah and Dawna DeMarco, of Tewksbury with whom she resided; an uncle Joseph Rivard of No. Andover; and was predeceased by her brother, James R. DeMarco in 2013.

A Memorial Celebration of her Life will be held in Early November, times and date to be announced. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) . A Prayer Service will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. see tewksburyfuneralhome.com
