Passenger Ejected in Serious Crash on Rte. 495 Wednesday Morning

Police are investigating a serious crash on Interstate 495 Wednesday morning, reportedly involving an ejected passenger. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash.

The accident occurred just after 10:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway, near Exit 38.

There is no word yet on injuries sustained by any victims in that accident. 

Two travel lanes were open following the accident, but the ramp from Rte. 38 to I-495 was closed for about 45 minutes after. Drivers were advised to avoid the area if at all possible.
