Tewksbury Police are asking for any information related to the robbery or if anyone recognizes the suspect shown in the composite sketch.

Tewksbury Police have released details from the Payless Shoes robbery on Tuesday morning and are asking for help in solving the crime.

The robber entered the store at 10 Main St. in Stadium Plaza at 10:10 a.m., according to a Tewksbury Police press release. He went to the lone clerk in the store, also the only person in the store at the time, and demanded money. No weapon was shown nor mentioned by the robber. He ordered the suspect to walk to the back room where he followed her.

The clerk, who was unharmed, called 911 as the robber exited the store at 10:13 a.m. She described the suspect as a man in his mid-to-late 30s, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7 with a stocky build, light skinned black or Hispanic with no accent. He was wearing a black hoodie, black or dark colored jean, big black sunglasses and a baseball hat. She also described the suspect's skin on his face as "rough" and said he had a calm demeanor. A composite sketch of the suspect can be viewed to the right.
