Police Arrest Two Following Drug Transaction

Officers observed the transaction at 836 North St. (Building #300) in Tewksbury last week.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Tewksbury Police arrested two individuals after observing a narcotics transaction at 836 North St. (Building #300) in Tewksbury last week.

On April 15, Tewksbury detectives arrested Juan Mercado, 26, of 98 19th St. in Lowell for Distribution of a Class B Substance, Subsequent Offense (#16 oxycodone pills) and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance, Subsequent Offense (#27 oxycodone pills).

Craig Tyler, 28, of 85 Brooks St. in Maynard was also arrested on scene for Possession of a Class B Substance (16 oxycodone pills) and Possession of a Class E Substance (26 Methylphenidate pills). A total of 43 oxycodone pills (30 mg) were seized in the two arrests.

Both suspects were due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on April 19.
