Police Make Four Drug Arrests in a School Zone

The arrests followed a drug transaction that took place across the street from the Half Pints Learning Center located at 1563 Main St.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Four individuals face serious drug charges after being arrested Thursday at the Village Green Apartments on Main Street in Tewksbury. Two of those individuals are Tewksbury residents.

Tewksbury Poilce made the arrests on Thursday, April 6 at 12:50 p.m.

Police arrested Juan Carlos Rivera-Martinez, 36, of 168 Prospect St., Apt. # 1, Lawrence and Joysel Mateo, 22, of 50 Camden St., Apt. # 324, Boston for distribution of heroin (subsequent offense), distribution of cocaine, (subsequent offense), drug violation near a school and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. In addition, Rivera-Martinez was charged with possessing a false RMV document (Massachusetts Identification Card).

Police also arrested Katherine Main, 32, of 1535 Main St. Apt. # 212, Tewksbury and Keri Aldred, 33, of 100 Royal Crest Circle, Tewksbury for possession of heroin and possession of cocaine.

Police say detectives observed a drug transaction in the parking lot of the Village Green Apartments located at 1535 Main St.. After a stop and investigation, both heroin and cocaine were located. The drug transaction took place across the street from the Half Pints Learning Center located at 1563 Main St.

During the booking process it was revealed that Rivera-Martinez possessed a false Massachusetts Identification Card and several names had returned as using the same social security number and date of birth. His fingerprints revealed that he previously used the name Wilkin Jose Guerrero Villar. After calling U.S. Customs and Immigration, it was learned that Rivera-Martinez was in violation of immigration laws and that a federal detainer would be issued.

All were due to be arraigned on April 7, 2016 at Lowell District Court.
