Such was the case in Concord-Carlisle's 2-1 win over Tewksbury. The Redmen held a 1-0 lead entering the fifth inning, with Shannon McLaughlin locked in a duel with CC's Galen Kerr.
But the Patriots turned the tables in the fifth on a two-run triple by Angela DeBruzzi.

The Redmen managed five hits against Kerr but couldn't get the tying run. Tiffanie Marsh scored Tewksbury's lone run.
Girls Tennis
Central Catholic 4, Tewksbury 1
playing her first match as No. 1 singles, scored the lone victory for the Redmen. Sedgwick rallied to outlast CC's Alexa Glover in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6.
Laurin Joseph and Nicole Tran dropped singls matches. The teams of Lindsey Andelia/Emma Hyberts and Haley Tiernan/Kristina Yaing fell in doubles action.
It was the season-opener for the Redmen, while Central Catholic improved to 3-0.
Girls Lacrosse
Tewksbury 21, Melrose 9
Led by senior sniper the Redmen laid a serious smackdown on overmatched Melrose.
Peters poured in seven goals and added three assists in the rout. Taylor Lirakis scored two goals and assisted on four others, while Chelsea Smith and Abby Donoghue each had three goals and two assists.
But there was plenty of offense to go around for Tewksbury, which evened its record at 1-1. Ashley Kelly and Rachel Stronach also got on the scoreboard with a goal and an assist each.
