Tewkbury Teen Busted Twice In Two Hours

DA: After being arrested for drugs, Tewksbury woman allegedly slaps boyfriend for not bailing her fast enough.

LOWELL - After being arrested by Tewksbury police on drug charges on Tuesday, it only took Amanda Lane two hours before she was in handcuffs again.

Police initially arrested Lane, 19, on Tuesday after watching her get into the passenger side of a car, exit seconds later, and return to her car and count money.

Two hours after Lane was bailed out of the Tewksbury Police Station by her boyfriend, she was arrested for allegedly slapping him for not bailing her out soon enough, prosecutors said.

As conditions of her release in her two new cases, Judge Thomas Brennan ordered Lane to submit to a mental health evaluation and treatment, complete anger management, abstain from drugs and not abuse the victim.

She is scheduled for an April 6 pretrial conference.
