Tewksbury 4th Of July Festivities Postponed To Monday

The all-day Independence Day celebration was postponed due to likely rain.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury's 4th of July festivities have been postponed from Saturday to Monday, organizer Mark Kratman said.

Rain is in the forecast for most of Saturday.

But all the festivities at the Livingston Street Recreation Center have been rescheduled, Kratman said.

With a clearer forecast, the following events are now due to happen Monday, July 5.

  • 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Continental breakfast sponsored by the Tewksbury Rotary Club and Donna's Donuts, in the tent behind the Recreation Center.
  • 9 to 10 a.m.: Track and field games (all ages)
  • 10 to 11 a.m.: Decorated doll carriage contest (ages 3-6)
  • 10 to 11 a.m.: Bicycle decoration contest (4-8)
  • Lil Mr. and Miss Tewksbury Contest (2-4)
  • Noon to 1 p.m.: Hotdogs, water and ice cream donated by the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks, the Rotary Club and the Patriotic Committee.
  • 7 to 9 p.m.: Entertainment from DJ Dave Beatrice and North Shore Acapella
  • 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks
