Tewksbury CARES Logo Winners Announced

Tewksbury students Chris Mi​tchell, Olivia Axson and Zach Hines were named winners of the contest, but Hines' logo won first place.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Three Tewksbury Memorial High School students were selected as winners for their creations of the "Tewksbury C.A.R.E.S.'' logo, with student Zach Hines winning first place for his design.

Hines created a blue T within a red heart circled by the words Tewksbury CARES.

Students were encouraged to send in their work for the award by the Tewksbury Memorial High School Fine Art teachers. Olivia Axson (second place) and Chris Mitchell (third place) were also selected as winners for their creations.

Tewksbury C.A.R.E.S., a non profit, is a Tewksbury Board of Health initiative that advocates for resources, education and services. Its mission is to increase awareness, promote education and provide resources to the Tewksbury community in an attempt to lessen the adverse effects of substance abuse.

In accordance with its mission, Tewksbury CARES strives to promote wellness, increase awareness and support healthy lifestyle choices in the Greater Tewksbury community. The goal is to engage a broad-based coalition, including parents, students, school personnel, police, public health, families in recovery and treatment providers, working together to accomplish this goal.
