Tewksbury Gathers for Earth Day 2013 Celebration

Several eco-friendly organizations gathered for the town's first major Earth Day Celebration.

Tewksbury residents found it was pretty easy to be "green" when they ventured to the Town Common on Saturday for the first Earth Day Celebration.

Numerous eco-friendly organizations set up booths at the event, educating the public and providing information on upcoming events.

Among the groups represented were the Tewksbry Green Committee, armer Dave's CSA and Zero Waste Day. Ira Toyota brought two of its hybrid cars to the event.

There were food trucks with a wide variety of tasty treats, alpacas and a Tewksbury Girls Scout Troop was onhand to provide face painting.
