New Hampshire Man Suspected Of Assaulting Tewksbury Firefighter

Police said John Macintosh of Hudson was extremely aggressive toward first responders. He was charged on Sunday.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A New Hampshire man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of assaulting a first responder during a 911 call in Tewksbury.

John Macintosh, a 29-year-old from Hudson, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, as well as assault and battery on ambulance personnel.

In a news release, authorities said officers were called to an area on Rogers Road to help a person who had been attacked.

When they arrived, first responders were met by Macintosh, who was "extremely aggressive" and who assaulted a Tewksbury firefighter, police said.

Macintosh was arrested and charged, and he was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday.
