Tewksbury Native, Now Maine Detective, Aids In Bombing Investigation
Leonard Bolton comes from a family of Tewksbury cops.

Those in charge of the investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings made sure to call in the most highly skilled investigators on the East Coast to assist.
One of those investigators was Tewksbury native Leonard Bolton Jr., now a Detective with the Maine State Police.
Bolton has an expertise in cell phone tracking and mapping, an aspect of the investigation that proved pivotal in identifying suspects Dzokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, according to an article that appeared in the Portland Press Herald.

Bolton is a member of the Maine State Police Information and Analysis Center. He is a former member of the state's Joint Terrorism Task Force, according to the Press Herald article.
Bolton's father is former Tewksbury Police Detective Leonard Bolton Sr, who still lives locally on Pinnacle Street. His grandfather, the late Cliff Bolton, also served on the Tewksbury Police Department.

"He's a great guy," said Tewksbury Deputy Police Chief John Voto. "His father worked with me. Another great guy."
