Tewksbury Police Arrest Two Fugitives
"If I had a firearm on me, this stop wouldn't have turned out this way," one of the men told police as he was arrested.
TEWKSBURY, MA —It wasn't a good weekend for fugitives on the run in Tewksbury.
On Friday, police arrested John Michelin, 50, of Tewksbury, after they found him driving on East Street. He was wanted on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, stalking, intimidation of witness, assault and battery, and vandalize property. Police also believe he had recently tried to purchase a gun.
"If I had a firearm on me, this stop wouldn’t have turned out this way,"Michelin reportedly told police as he was arrested. Michelin was scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday. He was held without bail.

On Saturday, police arrested Police arrested Edwin Fantauzzi, 32, of Lowell, on Saturday after learning he was staying at the Motel 6 in Tewksbury. He was wanted in Volusia County, FL on charges robbery, petty theft, and possession of paraphernalia.
Fantauzzi struggled with police officers as he was arrested. During the arrest, police found suboxone in the motel room and charged with resisting arrest and possession of a class B substance.
