Tewksbury Police Report 2 Arrests With Drug Charges
Tewksbury police detectives got a warrant searched a room at the Residence Inn to investigate a complaint of drug activity.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury police arrested two men Friday and charged both with fentanyl trafficking, the department said.
Detectives got a warrant searched a room at the Residence Inn to investigate a complaint of drug activity. The two men were staying in the room and detectives found around 76 grams of fentanyl, six grams of cocaine and prescription medications, the police said.
William Mercier, 50, of Lowell, and Joseph Giaquinto, 42, were both charged with fentanyl trafficking, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute class E substances and conspiracy to violate narcotics laws.

Both men were held on $15,000 cash bail and are due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court Monday.
All people are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
