TEWKSBURY, MA -- The Tewksbury Public Library has plenty of activities this month, including the Dark Side of Boston on Tuesday and much more.
Murder And Mayhem -- The Dark Side Of Boston (*RR)Tuesday, April 25, 7 p.m. Join 'Boston By Foot' to explore the city's dark and dangerous underbelly in this arm-chair travel slideshow presentation. Learn seemingly-staid Boston's little-known history of mystery and suspense by entering the Dark Side. From Beacon Hill to the North End: crime, disease, disaster, and intrigue - this talk covers it all! Hear about the great molasses flood, the infamous Brink's Robbery, the scourges of smallpox and Spanish flu, and the shocking murder of Beacon Hill gentleman, George Parkman. Discover Boston's history of mob violence, hear tales of the "sleepwalking" murderer, the dangers of Richmond Street and more.

Dinner & A Movie: La La Land (*RR)

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases -- La La Land, a critically acclaimed musical drama starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The film received 14 Academy Award nominations this year, including one for Best Picture. A jazz pianist falls for an aspiring actress in Los Angeles. Rated PG-13. 128 minutes. 93% positive critics rating. Doors will open at 7pm. Pizza will be served from 7pm to 7:30pm. A $2 donation is suggested. The film will begin at 7:30pm. Can’t make it at 7:30pm? The film will also be screened earlier in the day at 10:30am.

Tiny Tykes Story Time
Monday, April 24, 10:15am AND 11am
Join Miss Heather for some early literacy fun, including stories, songs, fingerplays, lap bounces and more! There are two sessions: 10:15am and 11:00am. Please note that the 11am session is a repeat of the earlier session. For babies ages 0 months through 18 months. There is no registration required, however, space is limited in the room. Please stop by the Children's Room desk to pick up a token for entry into the story time.
Preschool Story Time
Tuesday, April 25, 11am
Join Miss Noelle for stories, songs, dancing, instruments and more in this early literacy session. For ages 3 to 6. Older or younger siblings are always welcome. No registration required.
Wacky Writer’s Workshop (*RR)
Wednesday, April 26, 3:30pm-4:30pm
Join Miss Heather in our new writer's club. Held once per month, this club will explore words, play games, and do fun creative writing activities. For children in grades 3 to 5, ages 8 to 11. This program is limited to 10 participants. Registration is required.
Wiggle Time
Thursday, April 27, 10:15am AND 11am

Community Service Night (*RR)

Are you interested in helping out your community? Earning Community Service Hours? Getting involved with the Library? Join us for Teen Community Service Night! We will meet, brainstorm and plan community service activities and work on a project that helps the community. Registration recommended.
