Tewksbury Job Seekers Network: What’s Next In Your Career Life? (*RR)

In this interactive presentation, learn about: the impact of the longevity revolution and the “changing face of retirement;" the “myths” of aging; important conversations for transitioning to “the second half of life;" importance of connection, engagement and purpose and meaning in life; 21st century strategies for thinking about work; and tips for job seeking. Led by Dorian Mintzer, a licensed Psychologist, Career/Life and Retirement Transition Coach. She is the Owner and President of www.revolutionizeretirement.co... and co-author of The Couples Retirement Puzzle: 10 Must- Have Conversations for Transitioning to the Second Half of Life.

Demonstrations, videos, handouts and Q&A will be included. Please note this is NOT a hands-on session, but participants will leave ready to set up an account and start using Overdrive on their own.

No stranger to movie screens, the City of Boston has appeared in countless feature films. What movies are set in the state's capital city? What are some recognizable filming locations? And why can actors never seem to get the accent right? Go behind the scenes with high school teacher and film blogger Frank Mandosa to learn more about movies that take place in Boston, were shot in the city and the surrounding areas, and promote hometown pride! Free handouts and raffle tickets for movie-themed door prizes.
Armchair Travel: Take A Virtual African Safari (*RR)

Join Linda & Bryan Higgs as they take you on a virtual African Safari. In 2009, the Higgs went on a Safari to Tanzania, in East Africa. It was Linda's number one "bucket list" travel item. The married couple visited four National Parks: Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park. It was the trip of a lifetime, and included a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. They experienced countless animals, including the great migration of wildebeests and zebras. Their presentation will feature a video of their memorable trip, with still photos and short clips. Q&A after the presentation.

Hiking The Bay Circuit Trail: A Video Journey (*RR)

Videographers Dan and Marilyn Brielmann of e-Awakening, a website for 'The Preservation of Nature & the Protection of Resources,' will share their beautifully shot documentary videos about the Bay Circuit Trail, a wonderful 230-mile permanent recreation trail and greenway extending through 37 towns in Eastern Massachusetts, including Tewksbury, linking parks and open space in in 57 Boston-area communities. The speakers hope to inspire you to both hike and preserve this natural resource.
NOTE: There is no film screenings this week due to the Town Election on April 1. The library’s Meeting Room serves as a polling location.

Special guests from Dr. Mickey's dental office will be joining us to talk a little bit about taking care of your teeth! Plus Miss Noelle will still have stories, songs, dancing, instruments and more in this early literacy session. For ages 3 to 6. Older or younger siblings are always welcome.

Join Miss Heather in our new writer's club. Held once per month, this club will explore words, play games, and do fun creative writing activities. This program is limited to 10 participants. Registration is required by calling the Children’s Room. For children in Grades 3 to 5.
