Tewksbury's July 5 Fireworks Detour Information

Tewksbury Police Department plans to close streets and detour traffic for Tewksbury's fireworks on July 5 at 9:30 p.m., weather permitting. 

As soon as parking lots are full, or by 9 p.m., traffic entering Livingston Street from either Main Street or East Street will be redirected, according to TPD Deputy Chief John Voto. 

After the fireworks, traffic from Hazel Field, or the upper parking lot, will be directed toward Main Street and sent south on Main Street toward Wilmington. 

Traffic from the lower lots will be sent toward East Street. 

Police anticipate heavy Main Street traffic. Those parked next to Mac's Dairy Farm in the Brooks Plaza, Mahoney's Garden Center and the Wynn Middle School will be directed north on Main Street toward Chandler Street.
